EVERYTHING YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR FIRST VISIT
From what to expect and how your massage is customized, to booking, policies and finding The Reset Room.
You don’t need to know any massage etiquette before you arrive. I’ll walk you through everything, explain what happens next and give you plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Before we begin, we’ll sit down for a short intake to talk about what brings you in, what you’d like from the session, areas you want me to focus on or avoid, and anything relevant to your comfort. You’re always in control and can change your mind about anything before or during the massage.
Come in whatever you’re comfortable wearing. When it’s time for the massage, I’ll step out and ask you to undress only to your comfort level and get under the sheet and blanket. If you prefer to leave any clothing on, that’s completely fine – I’ll simply work around it. Professional, secure draping is maintained throughout the entire session.
Arriving on time or about 5 minutes early is perfect. There’s no need to arrive 15 or 20 minutes ahead of your appointment. Your intake is separate from your massage time, so you won’t lose hands-on time while we talk before the session.
I recommend allowing about 10-20 minutes beyond the massage time you booked. That gives us time for a relaxed intake beforehand and a few unhurried minutes afterward. I intentionally leave plenty of space between appointments so you don’t feel rushed onto or off the table.
Yes. If you book 60 minutes, you receive 60 minutes of hands-on massage time. The same applies to 90-, 120-minute and extended sessions. Intake, getting ready and checkout are not deducted from the massage time you paid for.
Most of my sessions are built around slow, intentional relaxation massage, with pressure and focus adjusted to what your body needs. If you’re looking for advanced therapeutic techniques or very firm pressure, please book the Targeted Reset so I can plan the session appropriately.
I usually begin light to moderate and gradually increase pressure where it makes sense. Every area of the body can respond differently, so I pay attention to your breathing, movement and the way your tissues respond rather than forcing the same pressure everywhere. I don’t believe in a no-pain-no-gain approach. My goal is to work slowly enough that your nervous system has a chance to let its guard down rather than trying to overpower it. Very firm pressure is reserved for the Targeted Reset.
Depending on the session and your preferences, massage may include the scalp, head, ears and hair, face and jaw, neck, shoulders, upper chest and pectoral area, arms, hands, abdomen, back, ribs and sides, hips, glutes, thighs, legs and feet. Glute work is commonly offered because of the role those muscles play in everyday movement, and it can be performed through the sheet or directly on the skin with appropriate draping if you’re comfortable. Abdominal work is available by request during relaxation massage, used when appropriate during therapeutic work, and is part of Manual Lymphatic Drainage. More sensitive areas are never assumed and are discussed when appropriate.
Absolutely. During intake, simply tell me what you’d like included, excluded or given extra attention – no explanation is required. You can also change your mind at any point before or during the session.
You’ll remain covered by a sheet and blanket, with only the area I’m actively working uncovered. I use secure professional draping throughout the session so you can relax without feeling exposed. You decide how much clothing you remove, and I can adapt the massage around anything you choose to leave on.
Not at all. I’ll match your energy. I’m happy to chat if you feel like talking, and I’m equally happy to let the room stay quiet. There’s never any pressure to make conversation – it’s your time, not mine.
Yes – please do. Pressure, positioning, table temperature, blankets, music, lighting, draping and focus areas can all be adjusted. If something isn’t comfortable, you never need to wait until the massage is over to tell me.
Most full-body sessions use both face-up and face-down positioning so I can comfortably reach everything, but there’s no required position. Your entire massage can be performed face-up, face-down or side-lying if that works better for you. You can also ask to reposition at any point during the session.
Yes. Before we start, I’ll check that the table warmer and headrest feel comfortable and make any positioning adjustments you need. The table warmer can be turned up, down or completely off, and I have additional blankets if you’re cold. If you get warm, we can uncover your arms or legs while maintaining appropriate draping. I use Spotify, so you’re welcome to request a genre, artist or playlist, choose ambient sounds, or have no music at all. Lighting can be dim, brighter or completely dark – whatever helps you settle in.
I’ve installed a transducer beneath the massage table that allows you to gently feel sound and bass through the table while you’re lying on it. It can be used with regular music, ambient sound or frequency-based audio and adds another layer to the sensory experience. If it isn’t your thing, it can simply stay off.
I’ll gently let you know the hands-on portion has ended and encourage you to take a few moments if you need them. I step out so you have complete privacy before getting dressed, and you can come out when you’re ready. I provide Fiji water during intake, and you’re welcome to have it before, during or after your massage. Once you come out, I’ll ask how you’re feeling. If you want, I can share what I noticed and offer simple suggestions – such as stretches, movement or postural awareness – that may help you hold onto the relaxation or relief a little longer. If you don’t want homework, I’m perfectly happy to skip it.
That’s completely okay. I’ll explain what happens next, protect your privacy and give you room to ask questions. You can change pressure, positioning or any other comfort preference, exclude an area, or ask me to stop at any point. You never need to know the right way to receive a massage – I’ll guide you through it.
A 25% deposit is collected when you book your appointment. The remaining balance is paid after your session unless you’ve already chosen to pay in full online.
I accept credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and other tap-to-pay options, Cash App, Venmo, cash and gift certificates.
Your appointment confirmation email includes options to cancel or reschedule. If you make the change at least 48 hours before your appointment, there is no cancellation penalty. Inside the 48-hour window, I reserve the right to retain your 25% deposit and charge an additional 25% to the card on file. No-shows will be billed the full price of the scheduled service. You agree to this policy electronically when booking.
Please plan to arrive on time. A late arrival may require your hands-on time to be shortened so the rest of the day stays on schedule. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may need to be cancelled or rescheduled unless a shorter session is workable.
The easiest way is to use the online booking calendar to see current availability and reserve your appointment. If you’re unsure what to choose or have a question before booking, you’re always welcome to text or call me first.
If you’re new, the Welcome Reset is an easy place to start. You can also choose based on how much time you want, since your massage will be customized to you, or text me and tell me what you’re looking for. If you want advanced therapeutic techniques or very firm pressure, please choose the Targeted Reset.
Please reach out to me. I’m happy to talk through your concern and let you know whether I think we should proceed or modify the session. Depending on the situation, I may recommend that you receive clearance from your physician before massage. Having a question doesn’t mean you shouldn’t contact me – I’d rather you ask.
The Reset Room is located inside 321 Skin Club at 3200 N. Wickham Rd, Suite 2-A, Melbourne, FL. The outside of the building is clearly marked with a 321 Skin Club sign, and you’ll also see a Reset Room sign beside it.
Park and come straight inside to the reception area at your appointment time. I’ll greet you there, ask if you’d like to use the restroom before we begin, then escort you into the massage room. I’ll show you where to sit for our short intake and where you can safely place your belongings.
Completely. The room has a floor-to-ceiling privacy curtain, the door stays closed throughout your session, and appointments are uninterrupted. Normal conversation inside the room can’t be heard outside. It’s just you and me in the room unless you specifically request otherwise.
Yes. The Reset Room is my private massage practice, so when you book an appointment here, I’m the massage therapist you’ll be working with from intake through the end of your visit.
Yes. Mobile massage is available by direct inquiry and is scheduled at my discretion based on availability and location. I generally travel throughout Brevard County and may travel farther when multiple sessions are being requested, such as back-to-back appointments or a small group. For a single mobile appointment, the minimum session length is 90 minutes. When multiple sessions are booked together, I can offer 60-minute sessions. A fuel surcharge may apply depending on travel distance and will be discussed with you before booking.
I bring everything needed for the massage, including the mobile table, foam topper, hot towels, lotions or oils and any massage tools needed for the session. You don’t need to provide equipment.
Questions about your session, comfort, pressure, privacy, or what to expect are always welcome.
